Hello

My name is Emily and I live with my dog Dougal on the Sheep's Head Peninsula in a place called Ardnageena, Ahakista. It is a beautiful, peaceful place to be and I hope you will visit in person as soon as the COVID-19 crisis is over. I will be posting all over the place as soon as I start taking bookings

The important bits

Ardnageena

I'm told the name Ardnageena means 'Hill of the Flintstone' which I think has more to do with the rocks it is built on than the cartoon series. Ardnageena is in Ahakista on the Wild Atlantic Way. The accommodation is a one bedroomed, self-contained cottage. It is dog friendly with a private garden looking out over Dunmanus Bay. Inside, you'll find a wood-burning stove as well as central heating so you'll always be cosy, whatever the weather
